Canadian offshore wind delegation visits Germany

From June 26-29, 2023, a Canadian delegation consisting of 14 representatives from the offshore energy sector traveled through Germany for a study trip on offshore wind (stops in Berlin, Hamburg, Cuxhaven, Helgoland).

The delegation learned about Germany's historical and current offshore wind developments, the expansion targets and accompanying policy measures, and met with BMWK, various companies and associations. At a networking reception in Hamburg, the Canadian participants were able to make contacts in the German offshore wind industry. Participants rated the trip as very helpful for the planned development of an offshore wind industry in Atlantic Canada.
