German CCUS delegation visits Alberta

In September 2025 a delegation of German experts in the field of Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) visited Edmonton and Calgary in Alberta to learn about Canada's approach to CCUS and visit relevant projects in the province. 

The delegation trip started with a roundtable in Edmonton consisting of delegation members and Canadian professionals, followed by a day of meetings and networking at the Carbon Capture Canada conference. In addition, the delegation was able to visit Alberta's Industrial Heartland and the Shell Quest CCS facility. Later that week in Calgary, the group participated in networking activities and visited the Alberta Carbon Conversion Technology Centre and the Newell County Field Research Station among others activities.
